Bryan, Texas— The Best Western Premier at Old Town Center in Bryan, Texas, has been named to the 2013 Expedia Insiders’ Select list which distinguishes the best hotels on Expedia’s global marketplace.
For a hotel to be named on the 2013 Expedia Insiders’ Select list, the properties were selected based upon reviews submitted annually from over 500,000 Expedia customers. The Best Western Premier at Old Town Center was one out of 650 hotel properties worldwide to receive this recognition this year.

Consumer advocacy site NerdWallet ranked Bryan ninth on their list of top Texas cities for job seekers. The ranking cited Bryan’s popularity for retail, manufacturing and processing, as well as Texas A&M’s influence as an employer in the local economy. Bryan/College Station placed fifth nationally in Forbes’ 2013 Best Small Places For Business and Careers rankings. BCS was the highest rated Texas City on the list, and the only one in the top 35.
Forbes’ rankings used data from Moody’s Analytics, the U.S. Census, and Sperling’s Best Places to inform twelve different factors related to jobs, business costs, and quality of life in US cities with populations under 250,000. This is the third straight year that Bryan/College Station has ranked in the top 10 on the list, with the area placing sixth in 2012, and ninth in 2011. To see the complete rankings, click here.

Online publication Livability named College Station its 10th best college town in America for 2013. The report highlighted the region’s school spirit, abundant parks, and eclectic dining options. The commercial is a collaboration between The Weather Channel and Best Western International as part of their exclusive, cross-platform, sponsorship for all of The Weather Channel’s platforms of TV, Web and Mobile. The commercial features the on-air talents of “Storm Riders,” a gritty, behind-the-scenes series that follows two meteorologists chasing storms through “Tornado Alley.”
