FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Cheryl West, Director of Sales for the SpringHill Suites Fort Worth Historic Stockyards, was recently named President of the Fort Worth Stockyards Business Association (FWSBA). Cheryl will serve as President for the next two years.
Cheryl has served on the board of the FWSBA since 2017 and has been a big proponent of continuing to bring to life the Cowboy Culture of the Stockyards.
“I am looking forward to upholding all the great things about the Stockyards in my role,” said West. “There was an opening for the position, so I stepped up and took on the role. Having the approval and support of Hunter Goodwin, Carter Hord, and Erik Wyatt is great! I know they are looking forward to the direction that I will help move the FWSBA in.”
The primary responsibility of the Fort Worth Stockyards Business Association is to maintain and restore the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District. As a structured business association, the FWSBA works diligently with the Fort Worth community and tourism industry to sustain a positive and viable economy.
“I am excited for the challenge of leading the FWSBA and even more so, I am looking forward to working with a great group of people. We are all excited for the growth and change in the Stockyards,” said West.
