College Station, Texas – After 6 months of construction and a $1.5 million renovation, the College Station Hyatt Place will celebrate with a Grand Opening on Thursday, January 17 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The event is held in conjunction with the Bryan – College Station Chamber of Commerce and Brazos Valley Restaurant Association’s Epicurean Extravaganza Preview. Festivities include menu tastings from local restaurants, live music and door prizes. This free event is open to the public and includes tours of the newly-remodeled guestrooms.
On November 19, 2007 the hotel officially changed over from AmeriSuites to Hyatt Place. Hyatt Place is a new kind of hotel that puts style, innovation, and The Hyatt Touch within everyone’s reach. More than just a new decor, each spacious guest room now features the signature Hyatt Grand Bed and a 42-inch flat panel HDTV that integrates with your laptop, mp3 player and other electronic devices.
The innovation extends beyond the guest room. As you enter the Hyatt Place, the Gallery is a large, open area featuring a self-registration kiosk, an intimate cafe featuring Starbucks coffee and beer and wine, and a comfortable TV den. Guests at Hyatt Place may enjoy a signature hot breakfast entree along with a Starbucks specialty coffee, or as always, a complimentary continental breakfast. The cafe also boasts a variety of freshly-prepared items including made-to-order entrees, sandwiches, soups, salads and pizza which guests can order 24 hours a day, seven days a week via a touch screen menu in the guest kitchen or from the Gallery Hosts. The Gallery also features an “e-room” offering free access to a public computer and printer. Many will appreciate the new Stay Fit fitness center, complimentary to guests. Equipped with state-of-the-art Precor cardio and strength equipment, it features the most advanced LCD touch screen consoles in the fitness industry.
The hotel is owned by Kyle Legends and is managed by The Oldham Goodwin Group, LLC. For more information, contact Hyatt Place College Station at (979) 846-9800 or The Oldham Goodwin Group at (979) 268-2000.
